FAQs
We know you might still have questions, so we’ve tried our best to answer as many here as we can think of.
What’s the circuit address?
Old Blyton Airfield, Kirton Rd, Blyton, Gainsborough DN21 3PE
I’ve never done a trackday before. Will this be suitable?
Absolutely! We’ve tried to set up our day to cater for everyone – but we’re especially keen to support trackday novices in taking their first steps on track.
We’ve prepared a guide on how to prep your car beforehand and what to expect on the day. If you have any more questions, please drop us a line. We’re here to help you feel supported!
Can I have a passenger on the day?
You sure can. 🙂 Passengers can sign on for £10 on the day.
Can my boyfriend/husband/dad/male best friend come with me?
Of course! Everyone is welcome on the day
I’m male – can I sign up?
We do insist that all drivers be women. But please come along as a passenger or to spectate!
Do I need a helmet?
Yes, you’ll need to wear a helmet on the day. Both full-face and open-face helmets can be worn, but make sure it’s something suitable and not your brother’s bike helmet! If you don’t have one, you can always rent one from the circuit on the day.
What should I wear?
You’ll need to have your arms and legs covered on the day, even if it gets hot! We recommend a lightweight jumper that you can chuck off between sessions and comfy trousers and shoes.
Do I need a driving licence to take part?
Yes, a full driving licence is a requirement to drive on track. Make sure you bring it with you!
Is my car going to be suitable?
Pretty much any roadgoing car can be suitable for track, with a few bits of simple prep. Check out our guide for more info on what to prep before the day.
Is there a noise limit?
Yes, Blyton Park has a noise limit in place – 95db drive-by. Your car will need to pass this to be allowed on track. If you’re not sure how loud it is, you can contact your local track and ask if you can bring your car down to an event and get it tested.
I’m worried my car will be too noisy. What can I do?
You can try and fit an insert to reduce the noise (such as this one from Demon Tweeks). We have personal experience of using one of these.
If you think it will be too loud, don’t leave it to chance! Circuits have to abide by noise limits and you could be prevented from going on track.
